Welcome to the social hub. This is your own little personal corner of the net where you can just be what you want, say what you want, and do what you want. Sometimes you just need to let loose and say some really fucked up shit and you can do that right here. We are not responsible for what you say here or who stuff you in a bag and throws your body into the river but we will turn it into a killer story if we hear about it so take it as you will. All news will be curated specially by our very own media, Red Tape, who has promised me that we will only have the best of the best on this page. So really that means whatever her case is. Play nice, don’t kill each other too much, and have fun!

P.S.- The last guy who owned Eye Find was a real stick in the mud. Who filters swears and bans pornography? Some people am I right? Go crazy you freaks!

Death Of A Fixer(s)

Gotta say out of all the things I thought we would be reporting on after we hosted the event of a lifetime for a group of likeminded fixers and their teams, two deaths in our community was not what I expected. Don’t get me wrong, if it was one person I would of tossed this story just so we could get some more in depth coverage of how the Night Market went and what it was like setting this up with Frankie but when two people die in our ranks that puts me in a complicated spot where we have to make a choice here at EyeFind.

You're lucky we like you guys and this news is fire hot.

The night after The 1st Annual Fixer Summit there was a large shoot out down in the Heywood Industrial District. I say large because the boy in blue actually showed up meaning you know it is actually something big.

I wish we had some insight on what exactly brought this to happen but we will give you the rundown on what we do know about the situation at hand. Strap in and be cordial for a few minutes. People died, we can pretend to not be savages for a few minutes right?

The first of the fixers might have had it coming but he had good aspirations. Tobin Booker or as many of you knew him, Diamond. While I will not go as far to say that he was a good man, I can say from the conversations that I had with him as part of EyeFInd that he was certainly an event. I have never seen a man so far in the wrong driven by some grand ambition. If you didn’t know him, he played the role of a devout catholic who wanted to get drugs off the streets and right into his pocket. Not very godly but he knew how to rally some people. According to the reports that I was able to collect from my interviews with other Haywood fixers, he was trying to strong arm the district by force in a way that would have forced all of them to stand down. Not very healthy for the free market but like I said, the man had spunk. Imagine being so obviously wrong and still believing your right. Really lost a dreamer there…

Did you buy any of that? I hope not because he was the biggest bastard in Heywood but he paid a fee and I respect that. If you care, what is left of his gang is holding a memorial for him.

The second fixer in question might actually be a tragedy depending on how you look at it. Wendell Percival Belvins aka Kenny Paradise aka Mr. Paradise. Compared to Tobin Booker of all people, this guy might have had a decent chance. I would describe him as the smartest idiot that I ever met. If he applied himself and had a nice suit, he probably could have worked for Biotechnica with the way that he worked. Not a lick of formal training but he was effective.

I first heard about him when he was an edgerunner. Nervous, Tweaky, and clung to an Overlord Handcannon like people could not see how nervous he was behind his mirror shades. Honestly a nobody but he liked to swing above his weight class. He even made me my signature hands, a week late sitting in the booth like he might piss himself.

He ended up running with a small crew for a while. Slipstream, a NC local just like him who tried to be an expert netrunner with a Kirama Entry Deck. Sauver, a French tech who saw the glamor in life and might have been a bigger drug addict than him. Kitty, a rockergirl with a bit of a rocky past but a drive for life. Together the four of them had a pretty good run in this city. Not one of the greats by any means but they were good. Good enough to have enemies. I hear a rival crew had an in with the NCPD and reported them for illegal combat drug distribution and made the case pretty damning. Busted into the clubhouse and ended them like Bonnie and Clyde.

Though they were all dead but right out of the woodwork when EyeFind, there was Wendell. Son of a bitch was like a cockroach on synthcoke. If you told me he walked out of the morgue tomorrow, I would not even be surprised but I am pretty sure he is very dead. As long as he stays dead though try a Kenny Paradise down at the afterlife sometime if you don’t mind the comedown.

The two of them were working together to produce the infamous street drug, Paradise, in order to help Diamond try to take Heywood but that has been put to an abrupt end. I tried to dig into it further but Nightwatch is apparently very tightlipped on this one. Okay, keep your secrets.

All of this is to say just as a quick reminder to all our fixers. Maybe don’t kill each other. It is kinda bad for business, you know? Thx!

Zhirafa MIssing Execs

We all know that exposé pieces are hundreds per day if not more. Everyone has a story to tell on how they were a victim of injustice but most of those people had paid silence or never got the chance to speak out against it. The man who wanted to get this out died to a bunch of scavvers, one of the worst ways to go out. Don’t let Zhirafa get another free win in their book so they can silence thousands of more families who never had the chance to heal from what they took from them.

If you don’t know who Zhirafa is, let me fill in the gaps. Zhirafa Technical Manufacturing is a robotics manufacturer from the Neo-Soviet Union, based in the Pacific port city of Vladivostok, Russia. The Neocorp burst into the world scene with the release of the GRAF3 in 2039, with no one bothering - or wanting - to question how it could ship globally when larger Megacorps could not. They were able to make their way into the city during a time of weakness when the whole world was just trying to recover and established themself nice and deep into the roots of this city. How couldn’t they? They rebuilt Night CIty after the 4th Corporate War. Night City Council basically looks at them like saints.

Enough so that when they had the chance to Zhirafa was one of the robotics and construction companies employed to develop the new infrastructures for the Pacifica resort project in Night City. Funding dried up on that leaving it a dead project when the Unification War started leaving this as a dead project that they took losses on.

You know what lines up exactly with that time? Suddenly removal of highly respected technicians in the Night CIty Branch. The people who were doing all the research and heavy lifting were just dismissed and never heard from again. Just another mass firing to blame corporate failures on the little guys. That was the end of the story for a long time until that man was willing to risk his life to get me more information.

All those people who were fired over a decade ago? Still on payroll. Each and every one of them. I checked it against a Night City database to find more results and the cases are like a flood. Missing person cases, killings, and many other incidents that remove their CIN numbers from Night City but those SIN numbers are still very active.

You tell me what is more likely. One of the biggest construction and drone corporations in the world just didn’t deactivate all those peoples SIN cards because of poor management or there is something suspicious going on.

Take a moment to stop considering what is convenient and ask why it is so convenient. If they can cover this up, consider what else they can do and is that the people you want to trust with our city? TAke a note out of my book and expect better from the people we are paying. Remember the last time a nomad pushed subpar work on a bunch of people then made everyone below them pay for it? I certainly don’t.
